This cake is fabulous! I made it as directed including the butter glaze another reviewer mentioned (with the exception of the coconut as I didn’t have any on hand).
My daughters made this for my birthday…and I must say it was one of the BEST cakes (moist!) I have EVER eaten! It is so unusual and so good! You’ll have absolute raves with this one!
This cake is great. I had the recipe and lost it while relocating to another state. There was a butter sauce with coconut that is poured over this cake and it makes it heavenly
Ingredients:
Cake-
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoons baking soda
2 cups granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
20oz can crushed pineapple
Topping-
1/2 cup salted butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup sweetened coconut flakes
