Creamy Sausage and Bell Pepper Linguine

Creamy Sausage and Bell Pepper Linguine

raw material:

1 bell pepper (red, green, or your choice), thinly sliced
1 package smoked sausage, cut into rounds
1 jar Alfredo sauce
8 ounces linguine
Salt and pepper to taste
Grated Parmesan cheese (optional , for garnish)
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Directions:

Prepare linguine:

Cook linguine in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
Sautéed Sausage and Green Peppers:

While the linguine is cooking, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced smoked sausage and bell pepper slices. Sauté until sausage is browned and peppers are soft, about 5-7 minutes.

Combine linguine and sauce:

Once the sausage and peppers are cooked, reduce the heat to low. Add the jar of Alfredo sauce to the skillet and stir to combine. Heat sauce until hot.

Add linguine and season:

Add the cooked linguine to the skillet along with the sausage, bell peppers and sauce. Stir everything together so that the linguine is evenly coated in the creamy Alfredo sauce. Season with salt and pepper.

Service and decor:

Once the linguine is coated with the sauce and everything is heated through, remove the skillet from the heat. Place the creamy sausage and bell pepper linguine in a bowl. Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh parsley, if desired.
Tip:

You can choose your bell pepper color or even mix colors to create a more visually appealing dish.
If your child prefers mild flavors, consider using mild or sweet smoked sausage instead of spicier varieties.
You can customize your Alfredo sauce by adding a little garlic powder, a pinch of nutmeg, or some grated Parmesan cheese for extra flavor.
Not only is this recipe toddler-approved, but it’s also a quick and affordable meal the whole family can enjoy. Bon Appetit!
