Caramel Crispix


2 small boxes of Crispix Cereal
2 cups of butter
2 cups of brown sugar
½ cup Light Karo syrup
½ tsp Vanilla
½ tsp Baking Soda


Prepare the Crispix:
Place the Crispix cereal in a large bowl. Set aside.
Prepare the Caramel Mixture:
In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add brown sugar to the melted butter, stirring constantly until it dissolves.
Bring the mixture to a boil.
Add Karo Syrup and Flavorings:
Stir in the Light Karo syrup, vanilla, and baking soda into the boiling mixture.
Continue stirring until the mixture is well combined and has a smooth consistency.
Combine with Crispix:
Pour the caramel mixture over the Crispix cereal in the large bowl.
Mix Thoroughly:
Gently toss the cereal with the caramel mixture, ensuring all the cereal pieces are well-coated.
Spread the caramel-coated Crispix onto a large baking sheet or two, allowing it to cool and set.
Break into Pieces:
Once the Caramel Crispix has cooled and solidified, break it into smaller, bite-sized pieces.
Your homemade Caramel Crispix is ready to be enjoyed as a sweet and crunchy snack!
