THE INGREDIENTS LIST:
1 Tbsp.Of extra-virgin olive oil.
Lean ground beef; I used 500 grams.
A small onion – diced.
A small green bell pepper – diced.
Minced garlic; I used 2 large cloves.
1 Tbsp.Of tomato paste.
1/2 Cup.Of ketchup.
1/3 Cup.Of water.
1 Tbsp.Of brown sugar.
1 Tbsp.Of Worcestershire sauce.
2 Tsp.Of yellow mustard.
1/2 Tsp.Of kosher salt.
1/4 Tsp.Of black pepper.
1/4 Tsp.Of red pepper flakes.
Toasted buns.
PREPARATION:
First Step
Warm the oil in a large nonstick skillet that has been preheated to medium-high heat. Mix in the ground beef, onion, and red bell pepper while using a wooden spoon to break up the meat into small pieces.
Second Step
Continue to cook for about 5 minutes, or until the meat is completely done and the veggies are soft. Then add in the minced garlic and simmer for 30 seconds, or until fragrant. Remove excess grease.
Third Step
Mix in the tomato paste until it is completely incorporated. Add in some ketchup, water, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard, as well as some salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes. To incorporate all ingredients together, give the mixture a good stir.
Fourth Step
Continue to cook the mixture for another 10 minutes over medium heat until it has thickened. And after it’s done, take it off the heat, put it on toasted buns, and then dig in!
